It is very important in the agriculture sector as well as in all the sectors that the climate change is the result of what happens in our country and what the consequences will be in the future. Determination of arid periods will be very useful in the work to be done on issues such as agricultural practices, planning of irrigation time and struggle with desertification and erosion. In addition, the determination of a drought period in a region will benefit from precautionary measures against possible drought risk in that region. In this study, Bagnouls-Gaussen drought indices were calculated by using average total monthly precipitation amounts and average monthly temperature data of 81 meteorological stations in Turkey, and drought periods were determined according to the provinces and province based drought map was prepared. It was tried to be determined changes in the last 15 years using the result data. According to this, during the last 15 years in our country, the humid area decreased by 0.01% and the dry areas by 1.79%, while it increased by 1.25% in semihumid areas and by 0.56% in very dry areas. From north to south the drought is increasing; some of the Aegean, Mediterranean and Eastern Anatolian Regions and Southeastern Anatolia Region are very arid, some of Trakya and the Black Sea are in semi-humid class. Interior regions were arid when the humid class was located only on the Black Sea shores.
